SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Department of Transportation is selling several properties in southeast Missouri.

According to MoDOT the money from the sale will fund extra road and bridge projects in the state.

Properties are available in Cape Girardeau, Stoddard, Butler, Perry, Dunklin and Pemiscot Counties in the department's Realty to Roads campaign.  The latest additions to the campaign include former maintenance facilities in Arbyrd and Brazeau.

According to MoDOT, the Arbyrd maintenance facility is a 3.9-acre parcel located at the southwest corner of the intersection of Route 25 and County Road 610 in Dunklin County. There are several structures on the property, including a shop building, cold storage building, salt storage building, concrete fuel containment basin and portable sheds. A concrete pad is also located on the site.

And, MoDOT officials say the Brazeau maintenance facility is a 3.43-acre parcel located on the north side of Route C, approximately 750 feet west of the intersection of Routes C and D in Perry County. There are several structures on the property, including a shop/garage, concrete containment area for gas trucks, open front material storage building and equipment hoist pavilion.

Both properties will be sold by sealed bids, according to MoDOT.   Bids will be opened and read at 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 31 for the Arbyrd and Brazeau facilities, respectively.
