Many dogs, cats available for adoption at PCHS

DU QUOIN, IL (KFVS) - Are you looking to add a furry friend to your family?

The Perry County Humane Society has several cats and dogs available for adoption.

The two pictured here are our featured cat and dog up for adoption.

Winston, or "Winnie," is a four-year-old mini schnauzer weighing in at 15 pounds. Shelter volunteers say Winnie is very scared right now and not adjusting well to the shelter environment, but once he warms up to you, all is good.

They say Winnie is a true schnauzer and picks and chooses his friends very carefully. He is an odd ball. He has a nervous twitch (like most dogs do) that when he is really happy he growls, at the shelter we say he purrs. He has been exremely neglected and has a lot to learn but he is making friends and learning how to be a dog again.

Gill, or "Mr. Lovebug," is a three-year-old male weighing in at 8 pounds. He is a Russian blue/domestic medium hair.
