Former Perry Co. teacher to celebrate 106th birthday
PERRY COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Fairview Health care and Rehabilitation Center will be sponsoring an open house for Annie Loa Runion's 106th birthday on Monday, Jan. 30, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The center is inviting people in the community to stop by and wish Runion a happy birthday. She was a teacher at Pinckneyville High School and at South Six Mile and West Park School in DuQuoin. She was also involved in 4H and was the Extended Youth advisor for this area.
Those with the rehabilitation center say Runion talks frequently of her teaching experiences and her 106 years of life experiences. They say she enjoys hearing from her students and encourage those whose lives Runion touched to send her a birthday card at:
