RLC announces spring Community Education classes in Pinckneyville

PINCKNEYVILLE, IL (KFVS) - Rend Lake College Community and Corporate Education recently announced upcoming Community Education classes in Pinckneyville.

The classes include:

Getting to Know Your iPad will be held 6 - 7:30 p.m., Mondays, Jan. 28 and Feb. 4 in Room 101 at the RLC Murphy-Wall Campus in Pinckneyville. Instructor Craig Williams designed this course to help busy people learn how to gain digital leverage with their iPad. Users of this popular Apple tablet device will learn practical ways to get the most out it. The registration fee is $15.

ACT Prep will be held 6 - 9 p.m., Wednesdays, March 20-April 17 in Room 101 at the RLC Murphy-Wall Campus in Pinckneyville. In this course, Instructor Andrea Banach will show area high school juniors and seniors how prepare and do well on the ACT test. This course is designed to teach reading, English, science and math skills. Test-taking skills will be emphasized. The registration fee is $37 and students will be provided with a Barron’s ACT textbook.

Me and My Buddy Golf will be held 6 - 7 p.m., Mondays, April 8-29 at Red Hawk Country Club. The instructor for the class is PGA Golf Pro, Dan Breslin. This course was designed for children who are 5 years or older. Children must be accompanied by an adult. During this class, Breslin will explain the basic fundamentals of golf including rules, etiquette, and instruction on all phases of the game. Safety and key components such as putting, chipping, and swinging will be covered. The registration fee is $25. A $10 supply fee for the cost of range balls is payable to the instructor at the first class.
